Meet Your Tutor
Helping students discover that biology can actually make sense.
For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of teaching biology in classrooms and online, working with students from a wide range of backgrounds and learning styles. Along the way, I’ve learned that success is about understanding how everything fits together.
That’s the approach I bring to every tutoring session.
Whether a student is preparing for an IB exam, tackling AP Biology, or simply trying to feel more confident in class, my goal is to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged, difficult concepts become manageable, and confidence grows through understanding.

Teaching Across Cultures
Throughout my career, I’ve taught biology in the United States and internationally, including Poland, Russia, and Vietnam. Working with students from different educational systems and cultures showed me that while every classroom is unique, great teaching is built on the same foundation: curiosity, patience, and genuine understanding.

Those experiences challenged me to become a more adaptable teacher, finding new ways to explain complex ideas and meet students where they are. Today, I bring that same flexibility to every tutoring session, adapting my teaching to each student’s goals, learning style, and confidence level.

How I Teach
Every student brings a different understanding of biology to a tutoring session. Some have gaps in foundational knowledge. Others understand individual concepts but haven’t yet connected them into a bigger picture.
My first job is to figure out where a student is in that learning process.
From there, I help them identify the missing pieces and make the connections that allow complex ideas to click into place. Rather than simply giving answers, I ask questions, encourage students to think through problems, and guide them toward their own understanding.
When students discover those connections for themselves, the learning lasts longer and so does the confidence that comes with it.

Let’s Talk About Your Student’s Goals
Every student is different, and finding the right tutor is an important decision. I’d be happy to answer your questions, learn more about your student’s needs, and discuss how we can work together to build confidence and understanding in biology.
